The Bride Spot is updated and maintained by the team at Wish Wonder Dream - a boutique wedding coordination company based in sunny Pasadena, California.

Our blog is designed to be a source of inspiration, guidance, and assistance to the brides we work with personally and to brides everywhere who find us on their own. We spotlight vendors that we've worked with & loved, new ideas for themes and schemes, fabulous accessories, personalization ideas, and so much more!

We also celebrate the couples we work by sharing stories and pictures from their wedding day. The blog is also designed to correspond perfectly with The Dream Book, a special gift that each Wish Wonder Dream bride receives.

We'll help you with design ideas, style inspirations, vendors recommendations, and all sorts of valuable wedding insights that only professionals can bring you. We live and breathe weddings anyway so it's only right that we share.

So enjoy the blog and please feel free to write to us with suggestions and contributions. We'd love that!  Happy Planning & Congratulations!

    CONGRATULATIONS KATIE AND STEVE!

Once October rolled around and we thought we'd closed the chapter on our 2011 wedding season, all of a sudden the phone rang. It was Katie, a bride who was only a month away from her wedding and had a falling-out with her previous wedding coordinator. She was very upset and in need of a coordinator who could jump in right away and help her and her mother tie up all their loose ends. I arranged a meeting with them that weekend and we began immediately. Katie and her mother Christine had done a fabulous job with all their plans and I was very excited to be getting involved.

Katie and Steve chose to have a Mass at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church followed by a "Christmas at the Beach" reception at The Malibu West Beach Club. Katie brought her love of evergreens and pine cones to the beach club where her brother had been married years before and the two themes meshed surprisingly well.

Katie's parents let us know about a very special surprise they planned for Katie and her new husband Steve. They had invited the USC marching band to come for a surprise performance. We decided that just after dinner and before the dancefloor opened would be the perfect time and it was a blast greeting them at the door and sneaking them into the staging room. I'll admit that it was tough being amongst all that Trojan pride (being a very proud Bruin myself) but I got over it just long enough to pull the big surprise off without a hitch. Katie, a proud Trojan and huge fan of the band, was absolutely floored when the roar of the trumpets echoed in the room as the band marched in. They played for a good 15 minutes and Katie danced like a crazed fan the entire time. She couldn't have loved it more and it was amazing to watch!

It was AWESOME helping to pull this fantastic event off in the final month and it was such an honor being asked to step in at such a crucial time. We were thrilled to have been able to help and it was the perfect close of our 2011 season.

Thanks so much to Heidi Ryder Photography for these gorgeous photos!

And here is the gorgeous video from JakPhoto. We're so happy the videographer took our suggestion and used the audio of the bridesmaids, maid of honor, and the bride's mother signing "Going to the Chapel." It was such a beautiful moment when they sang it to Katie as she prepared to walk down the aisle. Such a lovely video!

    CONGRATULATIONS FEI AND XIN!

It was an incredibly busy 2011 and we had weddings all the way through December. So we've been very behind on blogging and we're sincerely sorry for that. But we were thrilled to receive these gorgeous photos from Fei and Xin's wedding at the Cal Tech Athenaeum last fall. Fei and Xin both graduated from the prestious University so it was only fitting that they come back from their busy lives as Engineers to get married there. Fei is by-far the most creative bride we've ever worked with and she literally sent our jaws dropping to the floor every time she showed us another picture of her latest DIY project.

Fei began by decided to make a few floral arrangements from paper flowers but ended up making every single arrangement - including those on every guest table, candy buffet, sign-in table, and other assorted tables. She also made beautiful hanging rings which floated above her and Xin as they recited their vows. She then shocked us again when she created felt macaroons that were so life like we had to display them far away from the other candies at the dessert buffet so guests didn't accidently eat them. Fei also designed all the stationery - including her wedding invitations, "kissing menus," props for her photo booth, and so much more.

It was a pleasure getting to know Fei and Xin and we are proud to have been a part of their creative process all the way through to their beautiful wedding day. We wish you the very best Fei and Xin!

Introducing Our Newest Lead Coordination: Alex Wolfe

From the time Alex could remember she always wanted to have a part in planning/coordinating the birthday parties or parties that her parents would hold. As every little girl dreams of planning her wedding at a young age, Alex took it to a whole other level. She had binders full of dresses, color schemes, centerpieces and more...

She couldn't wait for her big day so she would practice with her dolls.  As she got older, that feeling never went away. She would plan birthdays, get togethers, and parties for herself and her friends. Once Alex's Bat Mitzvah came around, she didn't know where to stop. She would have to have a say in everything from the food, to the reception theme, to the DJ and everything in between.

Alex sees an empty space as a blank palate and loves turning it into exactly what her clients envisioned.  She is very organized and listens to her client's every need. Alex joined Wish Wonder Dream in 2011 and we know she is going to make her clients incredibly happy.

We turned into the sappy, teary-eyed, over-the-top romantic girls we are as soon as we heard this gorgeous song from Griffin House called "Better Than Love." We love letting couples know when we find perfect songs for first dances so we were realy excited to post this one:
